Happy Mistake

I came up with another extended Quantussy Cell. The diagram is below. There are three LFOs, each triggering three Sample & Holds, with their ramped outputs being sampled and then passed through two more S&H modules before impacting the rate of another LFO. Each of the LFOs has to go through a full cycle before a newly sampled CV impacts a rate. Here’s the diagram.

Two sets of LFO/3 S&H are built with Starling Via METAs in cycling EG mode, plus three S&Hs from Mutable Instruments Stages. The third LFO is a cycling SSF Mini Slew, driving three 2hp S&Hs.

Mistake!

My audio patch consists of the EN129 Through-Zero Oscillator, sine wave through the Athru wave folder and into Microcell Clouds. Xaoc Belgrad filter is oscillating and patched through a VCA into the linear FM input of the EN129. Several voltages are taken from the Quantussy cells to control this patch.

The mistake was patching into the Microcell Aux input. (I was aiming for the Size parameter.) The CV came from one of the META outputs. It was accidentally controlling nine granular parameters (Microcell was in regular Clouds mode). It sounds pretty wild. Your cat may freak out.

    Beautiful mistake!

It’d be interesting and didactic to see the exact patch that was used
