Random Chords and Envelopes

Sound and control part of the patch

This patch was a simple experiment made while exploring the Qu-Bit Cascade Ratcheting Envelope Generator. A fixed rate clock triggers the Cascade in ratcheting mode and takes a new pitch sample at the same time, making a sequence of notes at the same pitch. Audio goes from Generate 3 to the internal VCA of Cascade, by way of the Tallin for some manual saturation. By means of CV over the number of repeats, a seemingly random number of repeats happens.

The single pitch is then processed by Tiptop Audio ECHOZ. ECHOZ is set to Interval Feedback Loop in the Pitch program, which generates the chords. The chord is selected by CV.

Effects for the patch

ECHOZ is followed by FX AID XL, which adds Grayhole Light Reverb.
