Quartussy As VCO

Patch

A Quartussy is a set of four ‘quantussy cells’. Each cell is a VCO with a triangle wave and a pulse wave output, with the pulse wave driving the trigger input of two sample and holds. I normally use these at LFO rates for producing complex patterns. Here, I got the idea to use four cells in a cycle of cells to produce audio. Two of the cells (1 and 3) are LFO and the other two are audio rate triangle waves. These were further processed through the Vult Freak filter in Distortion+Wave Folding+Saturation mode. Distortion and Wave Folding were controlled by the LFOs in the Quartussy. Further processing was added in the Microcell Clouds.

Here’s a recording.
