Practice On Improv Case

The Improv Box

Dragging my feet on improvisation. Never felt I was good at it, but I realize now that it takes practice. I’ve reconfigured this case quite a few times. It seems to have settled down to a collection of modules suited for this.

Top Row

  • 2hp Rnd
  • M.I. Braids
  • M.I. Sheep
  • Noise Engineering Sync Iter
  • WMD/SSF MMF
  • Dave Smith Feedback
  • Sputnik Four Tap Delay
  • Befaco A*B+C
  • Bubblesound Mix6
  • Erica Pico DSP

Bottom Row

  • Meng Qi Hand
  • Ladik Gate/Tap
  • ALM Pip Slope (2 of)
  • Sound Machines LS1 (2 of)
  • Softwire Octal VC Switch
  • Random*Source Serge DUSG
  • Super PH01 (2 of)
  • Razmasynth Unknown Pleasures

While I could probably do some beat-based note generation, I’m getting started with more drone-like sounds. So here’s a practice improvisation. It contains a lot of deep bass, which you might miss with earbuds.
