Mocante + FX Improv

Live recording of an improvisation I performed on January, 13, 2020, in my studio, at a house concert.

The setup consisted of my Mocante Eurorack, which includes Mr. Grassi, Unknown Pleasures, Ears (microphone), and 2hp Stereo Reverb, plus amplification, mixing and Synthtech Deflector Shield frequency shifter, Blacet Time Machine analog delay, Synthtech Re-sampling Mini-delay.

Patch

Mocante, Unknown Pleasures, and Ears are mixed together, then amplified by a Blacet I/O and sent serially through the frequency shifter, analog delay and digital delay, then into the stereo reverb. Mr. Grassi has one output patched to the pitch CV input of Mocante.

The patch was played on the Mocante, Mr. Grassi, Unknown Pleasures, and Ears surfaces, while fiddling with the mix and fx wet/dry settings. The tempo emerging periodically is generated by using different LFO wave forms in the Deflector Shield. Touching Mr. Grassi and/or Mocante at the same time as touching Unknown Pleasures injects signal from the former into the latter.
