This patch uses the new Holocene Scanni-Mix signal scanner to influence a loop of six stereo modules connected in a long loop. The modules are patched in the following order. Vult Freak VCF -> Instruo Tanh3 -> Qu-Bit Data Bender -> Error Instruments White Rabbit -> Mehr Music Machines DeuxD VCF -> Alright Devices Chronoblob 2. No oscillators or VCAs are used.
Two channels of Tanh3 are used to prevent runaway feedback. Data Bender is used for the DJ filter and White Rabbit for the standard reverb. The outputs of Data Bender and Deuxd are mixed in Scanni-Mix, with white noise also added at the center channel. Scanning is controlled by a slow triangle wave, whose rate is randomized. A separate feedback path is taken from Deudx through Chronoblob 2 and mixed in the L-1 VC Stereo Mixer with the Odd and Even outputs of Scanni-Mix. The L-1 Mixer outs go to Vult Freak.
Random voltages are applied to Freak’s filter cutoff and resonance. The Data Bender DJ filter gets a random voltage control, as does the cutoff of the Deuxd filter.
The Deudx outputs are also tapped for input to Make Noise Mimeophon, which is outside the loop. Random voltage controls the Mimeophon Zone and a random trigger Mimeophon’s Flip. The final output goes through ThreeTom Modular Doppio set to limit mode.
