It can be hard to find just the right Eurorack modular case. I’m picky about the power supply and distribution. Most small, powered cases don’t have the kind of power I want, or they don’t have a cover, or they are too expensive. I had sold my Folktek Mescaline and had left over the 104 hp rack and power it had been in. The rack was a simple open back frame with no place to install a distribution board. So I asked my friend Kri Samadhi if he would build me a small wood case. I used the rails from the old rack. And I had a 4ms Row Power 30 and one Euro Header Adapter. To this I added an ACL EVE1 Busboard, an excellent distribution board for Eurorack power. EVE 1 has several ways to connect power, including screw terminals. This, plus 18 gauge wire, achieves a low resistance path for the power. The EVE 1 distributes power on separate PCB layers, ensuring low resistance to each header.

For the ground banana jack I always add to my cases for interconnecting other cases, I reused the 3hp blank with jack that I had installed in the Mescaline rack. The wood is too thick to fit a banana jack.

I loaded it up with modules, intending to find a good combination for performance. The case has a removable wood cover that has room for closing while patched!
