Yesterday I spent several hours relocating modules in five cabinets. Planning for anticipated new modules (a couple of CGS Serge VCS, a MOTM-520), I gathered all the VCOs into a portable cabinet, put all VCFs into one cabinet, and all envelope generators and VCAs plus some sound modifiers into the big lower cabinet. Today I tried it all out and I’m satisfied.
Here’s a random walk patch to celebrate. It’s a pair of MOTM-300 VCOs patched through MOTM-440, MOTM-480 and MOTM-410 filters, with a path through the Encore Frequency Shifter and a digital effect from the MPX-1. The rhythm is generated by gates triggered from the pulse outputs of the Modcan Dual Quantizer. The quantizer scale selection is randomly controlled as well, changing every 16 beats by a clock divided by the MOTM-730.
