It’s been a month since I last posted. Now getting back to the Fyrall project. I’m calling it Fyrall Mutant<\/em><\/strong>, because I’ve made a number of modifications from Peter Blasser’s original design. All will be detailed in a future post. Today I finished drilling and filling the plexiglass case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fyrall PC board is mounted beneath the surface with four board-mounted pots and two standoffs holding it. The nine board-mounted LEDs show through. The remainder of the panel is taken up by all the ins and outs and switches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s going be a good deal of wiring next. Wires will go from the component side (underneath) to the panel. Here’s what the underside looks like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’re looking through the bottom of the case. I’ll be reworking the standoffs, replacing those nylon ones with machine screws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Added this pic of the bottom wiring mostly done. I’m still waiting for the right DPDT switches to be delivered. It’s all working. After I add the range switches and capacitors, I’ll make a video. The labels on chips helped me to wire the panel according to the oscillator pairs that share a rate pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
