The largest is a 9U, 104 hp case that stays in the studio most of the time.  Then I have a 6U, 90 hp case that is also used mostly in the studio.  I have two that are put together as stand-alone instruments, one for Mocante and one for Folktek Mescaline.  The smallest are a 4ms Pod 64 and a Pittsburgh Modular Cell 48.  Rather than try to populate the small cases as instruments, I am trying out using them as auxiliary cases, each with a special focus.  The idea is to patch them together with either of the two studio cases, as desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I always install a black banana jack on each Eurorack case, wiring it with 18 gauge wire to the common terminal (ground) of the internal power supply.  When patching between cases, I use a Pomona banana patch cord to connect all the commons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wrote about the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/pugix.com\/synth\/pod-64-modulators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Pod 64 Modulators<\/a> case recently.  That one has a bunch of LFOs and Sample &amp; Holds, plus other functions to be used mainly for control voltage generation and processing. A while back the 5 volt regulator malfunctioned for an unknown reason and I removed the 7805 chip.  Rather than replacing that, I decided to use a <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.klavis.com\/all-products\/nodrain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Klavis NoDrain<\/a>.  It draws from the -12V rail to produce +5V.  Since this module set uses very little current to begin with (<strong>+12V<\/strong> 137ma, <strong>-12V <\/strong>53ma, <strong>+5V<\/strong> 47ma), there will be nowhere near the current rating of the supply used.
