The first one was called <a href=\"http:\/\/pugix.com\/synth\/portable-wave-mangling-system\/\" target=\"_blank\">Portable Wave Mangling System<\/a>.\u00a0 The second iteration had a focus on <a href=\"http:\/\/pugix.com\/synth\/step-sequencing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Step Sequencing<\/a>.\u00a0 For step sequencing, I chose the Tiptop Z8000 CV Sequencer.\u00a0 It had to go into the Synthrotek case, due to its depth.\u00a0 I had to give up the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/verbos-electronics-scan-pan\" target=\"_blank\">Verbos Scan &amp; Pan<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/wmd-pro-output\" target=\"_blank\">WMD Pro Output<\/a>, which made up the output section.\u00a0 After much deliberation, I decided to put back the output section to what it was originally.\u00a0 The top row of modules remains what it was in the Step Sequencing iteration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/noise-engineering-loquelic-iteritas\" target=\"_blank\">Loquelic Iteritas<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/noise-engineering-sinc-iter\" target=\"_blank\">Sync Iter<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/ieaskul-f-mobenthey-denum\" target=\"_blank\">Denum<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/ieaskul-f-mobenthey-fourses\" target=\"_blank\">Fourses<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/ieaskul-f-mobenthey-swoop\" target=\"_blank\">Swoop<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/ieaskul-f-mobenthey-sprott\" target=\"_blank\">Sprott<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/mutable-instruments-warps-\" target=\"_blank\">Warps<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/4ms-company-row-power-40\" target=\"_blank\">Row Power 40<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new middle row bears some resemblance to the original Wave Mangling System.\u00a0 In addition to the Scan &amp; Pan and Pro Output, there are now two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/alm-busy-circuits-alm008-pip-slope\" target=\"_blank\">Pip Slopes<\/a> (instead of four), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/make-noise-maths--\" target=\"_blank\">Maths<\/a>.\u00a0 The PDO, QAAF, and Triple Bipolar VCA were replaced with a new set of modules that I thought more flexible.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/steady-state-fate-ultra-random-analog\" target=\"_blank\">SSF Ultra-Random Analog<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modulargrid.net\/e\/mutable-instruments-shades-\" target=\"_blank\">M.I. Pan)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Philosophy<\/h3>\n<p>The idea is complex waveform generation.\u00a0 The Noise Engineering oscillators provide many modes of complex, dynamic wave shaping.\u00a0 Fourses is ramp wave based, with complex cross-modulation.\u00a0 Warps provides additional wave shaping capability.\u00a0 There is a lot for me to explore with this new configuration, which I intend to use as a complete system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My Synthrotek case has had three iterations of module sets.
