I played the rig above for a couple of sets at the Cesspool of Synths, July 2nd this year at the Center for Connection + Collaboration.
This case has most of my IFM modules, with added power starvation, the 4ms Noise Swash, and the ECHOZ stereo delay from Tiptop. Three outputs from the Sprott filter plus the output of Noise Swash were mixed and sent to the delay input.
What’s most interesting in this patch is the main oscillator is a Swoop with Bounds controlled by two outputs of Fourses and two Bounce CVs, one from the random ramp wave from Dunst and one from a Denum triangle. I can recommend this method of using Swoop as an oscillator. Swoop is always itching to oscillate, and in fact is always oscillating, albeit at a high frequency and low amplitude. Self patching can create oscillation, but it isn’t needed here. All you need to do is change one of the default Bounds and it oscillates.
Here’s a little video of my soundcheck. I was goofing around. At the end there’s a short shot of Claire Elizabeth Barrett (in a red dress). Claire hosts CCC events.
