An aleatoric drone. This uses some newer modules. The Cynthia ZerOscillator with linear through-zero FM, modulated by a MOTM-300 VCO, provides the pitch source in this patch. Passed through a MOTM-440 VCF, an Encore Frequency Shifter, and two Blacet Time Machines, the final sonic seasoning is provided by my Lexicon MPX-1 digital effects processor which imparts the “Classic Detune” a very slight pitch shift to enliven the stereo field. All my secret aleatoric randomness provides the progression. No hands on during recording. In the chain of fancy modulators, the MOTM-440 is the heart of the sound; its resonance is the key element.
