Here’s a self-running patch that runs Plumbutter (using one half, i.e. one AVDog, one Gong, and one Ultrasound) through the Synthesis Tech E560 and E580 and also a Blacet Time Machine. Cocoquantus controls CV on the processing modules.

I have a question I wanted to put to you regarding the plumbutter, but I couldn’t find an email address for you. So this probably isn’t the best place for it, so I’ll leave my email address if you’d be so kind as to reply.
I recently purchased a new Plumbutter 2 from PB. I’ve had it for 3 whole days & I am in love. The first day I was patching with complete abandon, limited only by the number of patch cables I had in possession. Now I am devoting time trying to grok each section of the synth. Whilst concentrating on the Gong I was testing how fast I could excite the circuit (the frequency of which I could produce a gong). I’ve been utilizing the rollz & sequencer, separately & in cahoots. Best I can figure is the Gong can only go so fast. Is that statement true? Or am I missing something? I was hoping I could ring the thing at great speeds but I’m guessing not. I know I can push it a little further utilizing one of the blue inputs, but do you know if the Gong can be patched to fire off at high frequencies?

Hi Ryan,
Yes, the Gong can only be re-triggered at limited rate. You can adjust this rate with the knob near to the green pulse trigger input. Did you download the PB manual from Peter’s site? The manual has this to say: “Outside the audio-siloette, besides the green pulse input, is a knob for the “pace” of a gonger, how often he responds to pulse input.” After receiving a pulse, there is a delay before the Gong sounds, and this knob adjusts the length of that delay. There is a minimum delay, so any triggers coming at a faster rate than that delay will be ignored.
