A long time ago, in software that used to work on MacOS, I had fun playing around with Uhbik, from u-he. That software was Audio Mulch, which could run the VST plugins in Uhbik. Then I updated to MacOS Catalina and Mulch no longer ran, it being a 32-bit app.
Fast forward to just the other day, when I went looking for a VST bus that could host Uhbik. I found Element, by Kushview. It’s in early development and costs only $2.00 to download. I also found that I could update Uhbik to the latest version, 1.3.1. And guess what? Everything runs very well through my Steinberg UR-28M USB interface.
The following three recordings were made by simplifying my most recent patch and running it through Uhbik-G, the granulator.
Here’s the dry version with just a bit of FX from Disting.
Now with the dwarf preset from Uhbik-G.

And here’s the Uhbik-G comb-ratchet preset.
