I got this IntelliJel case for my latest Eurorack project.
The Power Supply board and wall supply are included.
To get started, I added a couple of Line Out 1U modules.
I had hoped to be able to add PulpLogic Tiles to the 1U row, but (as I discovered too late) 1U is not 1U. Intellijel designed their own 1U physical format and PulpLogic tiles (which are standard size) do not fit. In the end I wound up adding enough Intellijel 1U modules to just about fill it. I’ll describe those in a future post. Here’s a little preview.
Review
The engineering seems quite good on the case and power supply. It’s very solid and looks good, too. But Intellijel has some quality control issues for their assembly process. The wiring to to the power switch uses press-fit connectors, and those were not properly seated. One was ready to fall off. It took nothing more than a firm push with a needle nose pliers to seat them.
I measured to the top of a seated power header and got about 48 mm, which is adequate for many Eurorack modules. The Disting MK3, at 42 mm depth, fits fine.
