The Mocante box got an update: a 2hp Verb stereo reverb replaces the Pico DSP, which has moved to a spot in a different case. For this improvisation we are hearing Mocante square tones, plus two outputs of Mr. Grassi. Mr. Grassi also controls the base pitch on Mocante. I ran it through the Boss RC-1 loop pedal for fun. I think I’ve got a new instrument here.
Very very interesting sound. Very nice!
Thanks, Fernando. This was just a simple experiment. I’ll need to practice to get good at using the looper. Mr. Grassi makes really interesting sounds.
Hey there Richard I’m throwing together some of the rollz 5 and I had a question. I see mido is referenced on all the rollz circuits except the ultrasound. When it comes to powering these circuits (the paper circuit versions, and or the schematics you posted here of them.) for powering the TL082/84 or the op amps he uses in general, would one power the op amps negative supply from ground ? It looks like it. The paper he goes to ground through an electrolytic for the negative or would it be better to use his mido aka 4.5v on 9v for powering the negative op amp supply?
Hope that made sense.
Appreciate you!
Hi Nicholas! Yes, the op amps are powered +9 volts and ground. Mido (middle) voltage is used on all the circuits, except the Rolls. Ultrasound uses mido too.
