Here is Audrey II in my 48hp Pittsburgh Modular case, together with a Happy Nerding FX Aid XL.

I got around to adding a Eurorack power connector to Audrey II. I had wondered how to do it and then saw this Synthux Academy video about Eurorack powering a different product, their Simple Touch.
The concept is very simple. Pin 39 on the Daisy Seed is the power input. Normally Audrey II gets power from its USB connector. That works fine, but you need a USB power cable and a 5 volt wall supply. I wanted to install Audrey II in a Eurorack case, so I can add modules, use my normal wall supply, and get a ground banana jack for integrating with other cases.
Adding the Eurorack Power connector
As shown in the video above, a Daisy seen can take power at pin 39 with a voltage up to 17 volts. So Eurorack 12V power supply works perfectly.

There’s a small prototyping area on the Audrey II. Inside this area are lands for +3.3V coming out of the Daisy Seed and a ground. I mounted the Eurorack header as shown, in the place with a double rows of connected lands. For a safety measure I also added a 1N4001 diode, forward biased, in series between the +12V from the header and the Daisy Seed pin 39 for reverse polarity protection. The diode drops the voltage to about 11.4V.

The six ground pins are soldered together and connect to the square land, which is a ground plane connection. The diode solders to the +12V pins and its other leg goes to a red wire.
